CENTRAL CITY – Arthur Lee Carroll, 79, of Central City, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 2:24AM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mr. Carroll was born June 26, 1939, in Muhlenberg County. He was an electrician at LTV Steel in East Chicago, IN, and a member of Mercer Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1958 – 1962. Mr. Carroll loved to fish and hunt with his buddies from work. He loved his wife of 55 years. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchild grow and admired their accomplishments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillie Carroll; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sophia L. Carroll; daughter Janet L. Carroll Masick of Michigan City, IN; son Curtis L. Carroll of West Minister, CO; brother Kenneth Carroll; grandchildren Amber Wilkerson, Sarah Masick, Joshua Masick, and Rebekah Masick Griner; great-grandchild Emily Wilkerson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2019, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will be private.
