BOWLING GREEN – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of April Lynne Poole, age 64, on December 9, 2024 at 6:20PM at her home in Bowling Green. April was born January 30, 1960, in Daviess County. She was a dedicated registered nurse whose life was a testament to passion, resilience, and unwavering love. A proud graduate of Drakesboro High School and Madisonville Community College, April committed her professional life to serving in Hospice and Oncology care, providing comfort, dignity, and compassion to patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments.
April faced her own battle with lung cancer with extraordinary strength and grace, demonstrating the same courage she inspired in others. Her resilience in the face of adversity was a reflection of her indomitable spirit and her steadfast love for life and family.
She found immeasurable joy in her grandchildren — Tianna, Marshall Isiah, Langston, CJ, and Blayne — and her daughters, Teressa, Nikki, and Davlyn, who were the center of her world. April’s love for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She found solace in the tranquility of the beach, the beauty of nature, and the calming presence of candles, embracing life’s simple joys with gratitude and grace.
April is also survived by her siblings, Mitchell Poole and Brinda Bishop; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Hurley; and parents, Orville and Virginia Knight Poole, and Pappy Johnson.
