DRAKESBORO – Anthony Eugene Carter 72, of Drakesboro, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Anthony was born October 15th, 1953. Originally from Bowling Green, KY, Anthony was a 1971 graduate of Warren Central High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University. Anthony loved anything to do with the outdoors. Hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, and shooting sports. When the opportunity arose, he would take his children, grandchildren, siblings, and/or nephews to share and enjoy his hobbies. His desire was to pass along his knowledge and passion of the outdoors. He had a longtime dream of loading up his school bus converted camper to visit the back country of Alaska. He also enjoyed reading and chess. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Eugene Carter and Betty Sue Cowles, his stepfather, Jesse Cowles, and one sister, Lisa Sue Vincent all of Bowling Green. Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Clement (Jon) and Ashley Carter, both of Kansas City, MO, two grandsons, Judah Clement (Amanda) and Jayden Woods (Ashley), three siblings, Vickie Collins of Bowling Green, Ricky Carter (Ann) of Danville, and Sherri Taylor of Bowling Green, and several nieces and nephews. Anthony’s wishes were to be cremated, and his ashes scattered at his childhood swimming hole.
