MUHLENBERG COUNTY – Annie Laurie Newman, 79, departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Huntsville Manor Rehabilitation Center. Born December 15, 1940, in Depoy, she was the daughter of the late Foster Earl Brewer and Verona Mary Short Brewer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Len Henry Newman; brothers Carroll Larkins Brewer, Foster Earl Brewer, Jr., and Courtland Thomas Brewer; sisters Margrette Ree Bohan and Verona Edna Green. She is survived by her children, John Daniel (Janet) Newman, Rebecca Ann (Steve) Murdock, and Michael Henry (Barbara) Newman; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Henrietta Emmaline (Billy) Adcock; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
