CENTRAL CITY – Anna Laura Vincent Knight, age 86, of Central City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Born on May 31, 1940, in South Carrollton, Kentucky, to the late Ross and Pearl Vincent, she attended Bremen High School. On September 13, 1958, she married the love of her life, William “Bill” Knight, Sr., and together they built a beautiful life in Central City.

Anna Laura was a homemaker, a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. She poured her life into her son, Billy, and her grandchildren were truly her world. A faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Powderly, her life was defined by her generous spirit and hospitality. She loved to cook, was always eager to share her recipes, and found joy in cooking for absolutely anyone. Her vibrant spirit was evident in her love for the music of the Everly Brothers and John Prine, and in the time she spent volunteering at the Homecoming concerts. She loved traveling with her family, friends, and groups from First National Bank, and was always delighted to open her home to others. Truly, her smile and loving personality said it all.

In addition to her parents, Ross and Pearl, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill; her sister, June Whitaker; and her brothers, Billy Joe Vincent, Donald Ross Vincent, and Freddie Vincent.

Anna Laura leaves behind a beautiful legacy in the family she cherished. She is survived by her son, Billy Knight, and his wife, Dana; her grandchildren, Kristin (Cory) Dukes, Matthew (Emily) Knight, and Kayla (Karson) Doss; her great-grandchildren, Thomas (Hayden) Dukes, Skylar Williams, Colton Carver, Cooper Carver, Luke Knight, Mason Knight, Matty Kate Knight, Kip Doss, and Kam Doss; her great-great-grandchild, Harlyn Dukes; and one sister, Ada Sue Alexander, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, Kentucky. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Kevin Dunn of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a meal at New Hope Baptist Church, located at 1105 South Carrollton Street, Central City, Kentucky 42330.
