Amy Louise Bethel Gish

CENTRAL CITY – Amy Louise Bethel Gish, 94, of Central City, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11:02PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.  Amy was born September 12, 1929, in Muhlenberg County.  She was a Medical Technologist at Muhlenberg Community Hospital for many years, and attended Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bremen.  Amy was known for the many Corvettes she drove throughout the years.  She enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains, and loved mowing and being outdoors.  She loved all animals, especially her chihuahuas.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Vivian Chandler Laffoon; first husband, Ralph Bethel; second husband, Earl Gish; sister, Rebecca Meeks; and niece, Leslie Bolser.

She is survived by her nephew, Terry Meeks of Paducah; niece, Suzi (Tony) Mangina of Kevil; great-nephew, Alexis Bolser of Henderson; great-great-nephew, Justin Bolser of Central City; and great-great-niece, Jessica Bolser of Central City.

Private entombment in New Cypress Cemetery in Greenville will be at a later date.  Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
