To the family of Ms Alta I'd just like to say that I'm now 52 yrs old, but I can still remember her sweet smile from my elementary days in Central City. For 6 years I saw her every school day in that lunch room, and unlike most, I don't think that lady ever frowned. I feel that Heaven is a little brighter today and I'm sure my mama was there to greet her because they never past each other down town without stopping and talking.

Carolyn, I remember your mother being so faithful to the church. I taught at the elementary school while she worked in the kitchen. She was so precious to be around at school and church. My daughter, Lydia, was born on September 27, 1975 and your mother was so thrilled that they shared a birthday. When we celebrate Lydia's birthday next Tuesday, we will think of your mother. Jerry and I are so sorry for the loss you are feeling, but thankful that you had her such a long time. We are glad that she had so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to love her. I know she was so proud of them. My love to you and your family. Charlotte Frymire Cook

I was so sorry to hear of Alta's passing. My mother thought the world of her and considered her one of her dearest friends. Even after my mother moved to Bowling Green ten years ago, they kept in close touch, writing back and forth and calling each other on occasion. I will always remember her with great fondness.

I will always cherish the memories of your mom when we worked at the Tastee Freeze. She could get me laughing about the funny things Crandell would have us do ...like weigh the hamburger meat and etc. She was a Christian witness to many who worked there. I never saw that woman without that sweet smile of hers. Cherish the wonderful memories that you all have had with her. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.... Love, Charlotte Moss Vincent, Mary Jane Moss Wormer, and Pat Moss Russell.
