GREENVILLE – Alma Louise Johnson Rice Todd, 92, of Greenville died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Todd was born in Todd Co., KY on March 19, 1918. She was a homemaker and a mother, and was a member of Cleaton Missionary Baptist Church. She was raised on a farm in Muhlenberg Co. She helped her late husband Russell run their farm. She was a factory worker in her younger years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Rice; second husband, Russell Todd; sisters Myrtle Curtious and Ola Cardwell; brothers Odra Johnson, Edgar Johnson, Melvin Johnson, and Walter Johnson; a son, James Rice; grandchildren Sean Carneal Chappell and Terry Lynn Rice; and parents Luther and Viola Johnson. Survivors include her son, Dale Todd of Greenville; daughters Cozy Chappell of Drakesboro and Linda Granderson of Greenville; sisters Mildred Cardwell of Nortonville and Lucille Baxter of Spottsville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one to be born this week; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
