CENTRAL CITY – Early Christmas morning Adrian “Lee” Shelton of Central City, KY woke up in Heaven. Lee is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Kay Shelton of Central City. He is survived by wife Penny Shelton of Central City; father AG (Jane) Shelton of Owensboro; son Bo (Aor) Barnett of Brentwood, TN; daughter Kadi (Kyle) Burden of Bowling Green; son Matthew Shelton of Central City; daughter Raven (Zack) Oldman of Bremen; granddaughter Kaylynn Burden of Bowling Green; sister Lisa Shelton of Easley, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lee worked at Carhartt for 30 years and Union Local 227 in a range of jobs serving those around him. He was a history buff that enjoyed coin collecting and hunting for hidden treasures with a metal detector. An ideal time was an old fashioned hamburger and the latest zombie movie. Lee could always be found with an ice cold Dr. Pepper within reach. He was happiest spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. He was a Christian and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Lee lived a life of humor, resilience, and full of love. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Bill Egbert officiating. Burial in New Harmony Cemetery in Bremen.
