Ronnie D. Pointer CENTRAL CITY — Ronnie D. Pointer died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at his home. He was born in Muhlenberg County on Nov. 1, 1944. He was a retired steel mill worker. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Darrell Pointer; his parents, Ecklas and Lilly Mae Pointer; four brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Patty Pointer; a daughter, Lisa (William) Johnson of Browder; three sons, Lee (Jennifer) Pointer of Central City, Mark (Brandy) Pointer of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Jason Pointer of Central City; seven grandchildren, Jessica Rolley, Matt Pointer, Krista Hearld, Joey Pointer, Danielle Pointer, Derek Pointer and Daren Pointer; four stepgrandchildren, Jessie and Chandler Hunt and Wade and Aaron Johnson; a great-granddaughter, Abby Rolley; a brother, Gary Pointer of Central City; a sister, Norma Jean Taylor of New Albany, Ind.; and a grandson on the way. Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. T.H. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City.
