Vernie Alvin Williams 1/20/2009 CLEATON — Vernie Alvin Williams, 88, of Cleaton died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at MCH in Greenville. He was a coal miner, a member of Cleaton Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include two sons, Bryan A. Williams and Gary C. Williams; a daughter, Lori A. Lindsay; and a brother, Milton F. Meeks. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial: Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation: After 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
