Verna Faye Gary

CENTRAL CITY – Verna Faye Gary, age 81, of Central City died Friday, May 25, 2018 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, Kentucky. Ms. Gary was born in Muhlenberg County on December 9, 1936. Verna was a homemaker and member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Gary; parents Roland and Irene Morris; brothers Charles and Ed Morris; sister Sarah Moore and twin great granddaughters Kara & Riley. Ms. Gary is survived by her daughters Cindy (Ricky) Moore and Kim Gary of Central City; son Barry M. Gary of Louisville; grandchildren Chad (Delanna) Moore of Central City; Cammi (Parker) Scarbro of Beechmont, Whitney Moore of Greenville, Tyler (Emilee) Moore and Jayden Moore of Central City, Seth Ferguson and Jacob Gary of Bowling Greenville; great-grandchildren Madison (Shayne) Bratcher, McKinley & Cameron Moore, Caden Yates, Jaxon and Josie Sullivan, Isaac Moore and Tucker Scarbro; brothers Don (Lou) Morris of Greenville, Wayne (Patsy) Morris of Owensboro; sisters Glenda Rickard of Powderly and Jane Johnson of Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Officiating the service will be Chad Moore. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 28, 2018 after 5 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
