CENTRAL CITY – Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and a staple of the community Venoy Mae Ray Lott, 82, of Central City died Friday, July 16, 2021 at 4:52 a.m. at her home surrounded by her family. Venoy was born October 6, 1938 in Muhlenberg County and was a retired nurse with 44 years of service in the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital emergency room. Venoy stands out as the strength of her family, friends and so many others whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her son Danny Lee Lott; parents Louis Sheldon and Veronica Clae Ray; sisters Charlie Evelyn Joines, Janice Kay Lewin and Veronica Lynn Strothoff.
Survived by her children Jim (Mary) Morse Jr., Terri (Elvin) McGhee and Tony (Susie) Lott; grandchildren Jeremy Morse, Trinidy (David) Noffsinger, Christopher Waddell, Ray (Kendra) Waddell and Dylan (Kelly) Lott; her great-grandchildren Kye Morse, Keenan Noffsinger, Corbin Morse, Kaylan Noffsinger, Braelynn Morse and Kayson Lott and sister Sonja (John) Babb.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph House officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
