DRAKESBORO – Velma Catherine Ford, 86, of Drakesboro, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 8:00PM at Belle Meade Nursing Home. Mrs. Ford was born November 27, 1927, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of Ark of Safety Church. She loved her dogs, Bob Tail and Tiny. She enjoyed attending church and cutting up with her granddaughter, Shannon. Her children were her priority. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Ford; great-granddaughter Erika Ford; son Roger Ford; and parents Dolpha and Lee Lurene McNeiley. She is survived by her sons, Brandon (Judy) Ford of Drakesboro, Elvis Ford of Drakesboro, and Chris (Mary) Ford of Henderson Co.; daughters Anna (Billy) Vincent of Greenville and Velma (Daniel) Epley of Drakesboro; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers Berman McNeiley of Highland, IN, Danny McNeiley of Central City, Don McNeiley of Mont Laurel, and Dean McNeiley of Columbia; and sister Alberta Fahrenkrug of Owensboro. Funeral services will be Friday, September 5, 2014, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Glendel Hardison officiating, assisted by Rev. Ronnie Brooks.
