GREENVILLE – Thomas Scott Johnson, 72, of Greenville died Friday, August 6, 2021, at 11:35 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Thomas was born June 2, 1949, in Hammond, IN and was retired from Research and Development for Ahlstrom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alice Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Georgeann Evitts Johnson; daughter Dawn (Jayme) Grundy; grandchildren Payton Grundy, Taylor Grundy; grand-dog Molly; and sister Pauletta Dillard.

TSJay, the Granddaddy of ItsAJeep. You will be missed, but not forgotten.

Tom loved his dogs and his Jeeps. He gave of himself so much to help new Jeep offroaders like me. His infectious smile. His thanking each bridge as he drove to Turkey Bay. His getting jiggy wid it up Dog Leg... All of that paled in comparison to his love for his family and God. Tom you are missed!

TJ and I started our careers together at what was then Knowlton Bros, Southern Specialty Div. Started in the lab together. Since I was from NY TJ had to indoctrinate me into KY Basketball which he did a real good job!. He was a great friend and I will miss him and my condolences to the family.

TJ will be missed. His Michigan friends will remember him fondly. We will especially miss his smiling face, quick wit, and great nicknames for everyone he met. RIP we’ll meet again someday.

My sincere condolences to the family I knew of Tom and met him through the planet Hammond on Facebook he knew so much history of Hammond a lot of things I didn't even know and I was born and raised I enjoyed everything I learned from him that will forever guide me. Thank you Tom for everything
