Used to tease him that because I was 9 days older he would have to listen to me as an elder! Well TEd because of the good Lord I gave seen my 80th birthday - I feel you had something to do about that as Richard has slipped & needs not to be along! Send the word up for me for a little help now & then though - please?

Very sorry I missed this by so many years. I am stretching to say we were friends but he was a proud cousin of my childhood idols. He allowed me twice to stop by and talk, mostly about his first cousins. I jokingly told him " now you are first cousins, right" and his reply was "yes, our dads were the first brothers". He was very proud and very kind for sharing his time with me. In1996 I rented a car and drove there from St louis and the other time my girlfriend and I stopped by on my Goldwing in 2004. We had been all over the US and on our way to Florida next. He told me he was meeting Phil there next week also. The first time he showed me the Black Cadilac downstairs.
Thank you very much Ted.

my husband and i drove from our home in new jersey to central city, ky to attend the everly brother's annual homeoming concert and while we were in central city we stopped in at ted everly's auto sales and met brother ted everly and his wife shelby. brother ted resembled his cousin phil a lot and he and his wife shelby were wonderfully kind to us; we got their autographs before we left. we'll never forget brother ted; we saw him again the next day at don and phil's concert which was nothing short of fantastic. may the lord bless ted everly and his loved ones forever!

Just found out my old friend Ted went to be with our Lord. One of the most loving, gracious, helpful pastors I've known. Introduced me to Camp Zion Myrtle, MS. Many fond memories of Bro. Ted and his wife Shelby.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I saw Rev. Everly on a documentary about the Everly Bros. from 1983. I enjoyed this documentary very much ( watched it many times) and enjoyed the segments with the reverand in them. I am sorry for your loss and though I did not know him personally, I do believe he was a good man and true Christian. Prayers to you and your family. jb
