DRAKESBORO – Shirley Buchanan Dwyer, 71, of Drakesboro, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville. Ms. Dwyer was born on May 23, 1954 in Muhlenberg County. She was a Homemaker and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Dwyer; and siblings, Tommy Buchanan, Bruce Buchanan, Phillip Buchanan, and Charlene Lear.

She is survived by her children, Michael Dwyer, Stacie Wagoner, and Breanna (John Strain) Smith; grandchild, Harmonee Taylor; siblings, Kay Zachery, Carolyn Garrett, Mable Groves, and Chester (Laura) Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 9, 2026 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial in Peanut Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10AM-12PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
