GRAHAM – Roy Edward Stanley, 83, of Graham, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at 3:00AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Stanley was born January 1, 1942, in Hopkins County. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Orange Grove General Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, woodworking, home canning, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Anna Sue Stanley; father, Johnnie B. Stanley; mother, Lillie Bell Stanley; siblings, Lorenzo (Betty) Stanley, Georgia (Pete) Myers, Wilbourn “Duck” (Margaret) Stanley, Charlie (Betty) Stanley, Alfred (Irene) Stanley, J.H. (Martha) Stanley, David (Shirley) Stanley, and Ernest “Tub” (Carolyn) Stanley; and foster daughter, Barbara (Alfrink) Cobb.
He is survived by his children, Dwight (Tonya) Stanley, Nona McCauley, Derrick (Angela) Stanley, and Carol (Joe) Jarvis; grandchildren, Marissa McCauley, Josh Jarvis, Amanda Cobb, Hylan Stanley, Joseph Stanley, Jacob Jarvis, Lindsey Kirslis, Cody Cobb, Caleb Cobb, and Collin Cobb; great-grandchildren, Lee Fulkerson, Joel Fulkerson, Allie Cobb, Nora Cobb, and Addison Jarvis; brother, Glen “Pig” (Joyce) Stanley; and grand-dogs, Tinker Bell Jarvis, Ginger Jarvis, Bullit Stanley, Milo McCauley, and Buster McCauley.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Jerry Eades officiating. Burial in Stanley Family Cemetery in White Plains.
