Leslie, Bill and family, How does one express the loss of a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, let alone the loss of a community pillar? Words cannot begin to convey how Bob’s life impacted so many. He exemplified through his gracious greetings, kind words, wisdom, and actions how to live life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Gary and Terri Brown

When I went for an interview with Bob and Bill, they both were so nice, kind and polite that I knew right away I would enjoy and be happy working at Lawton Insurance. Bob was always so friendly and ready to talk to each person who came in the office. I am sad today and our community will miss him but I also rejoice because I know we will meet again . My prayers are for Leslie, Bill, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It has been my pleasure to know each one in this dear family. God Bless.

I was certainly sorry to hear of Bob's death. He was a fine gentleman. I remember fondly many mornings at Colonel's Grill where he could certainly take a joke and much teasing in stride, with only a grin in return. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him.

Since coming to Central City 17 years ago, we have admired and appreciated all Bob and his family have done for this community. Bob and Helen, and Bill and Leslie, always made a point to be friendly and welcoming. When my parents moved here, they extended that same welcome. Bob will always represent what makes our city so special. We extend our deepest condolenscences to their family.

So saddened to hear of Mr. Lawton's passing. As I continue in my insurance career (34 years later) I am still grateful for the potential that Mr. Lawton saw in an inexperienced 20 year old in need of employment. He and Bill gave me a great foundation and then graciously sent me out into the world with good wishes and an awesome letter of recommendation. I will never forget the roots of my career. He was warm and personable and was very happy being called Bob by young associates. But he will always be Mr. Lawton to me - I admire and respect all that he stood for in his life. My sincerest sympathies to the Lawton family and all of those in the "Agency Family", as well as all of those who knew and loved him. I only knew him for a short time as the Agency's Cincinnati Life Insurance Rep. He was a wonderful man who set a fine example for his family, community and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you lay him to rest this week and recall all the wonderful memories you share that will keep him alive in your hearts forever. Sincerely, Julie Eagan
