GREENVILLE – Richard Lee Higgs, 55, of Greenville, died Monday, February 9, 2026 at 12:12PM at his residence. Mr. Higgs was born May 18, 1970 in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of Duvall’s Chapel General Baptist Church and worked for Walmart for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and watching UK Basketball with his son. He would “talk Mustangs” to anyone that would listen. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Doris Whitehouse; and grandmother, Maxine Mueller.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Bobbie Jo Whitehouse Higgs; daughters, Sara Higgs, and Sierra Higgs; son, Tony (Jazmyne) Higgs; grandchildren, Karson and Stella; mother, Shiela Blythe; father, Denny Blythe; two brothers; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and his beloved puppies, Dolly, JoJo, Bane, and Luna.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9AM-2PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
