CENTRAL CITY – Randall Earl Ward, 62, of Central City, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 22, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. He was an active member of Mercer Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was an avid hunter, spending many hours in the woods with his son. He enjoyed being out on the farm, whether it be on the tractor or messing with the horses with his daughter. Randy worked for Boardwalk Pipelines for 43 years and retired in January of 2017. He was an active member of the Community choir and always enjoyed singing. Most of all, he loved serving the Lord and spending time with his family. He was a great husband, father, brother, and friend to all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Gladys Ward; and his father and mother-in-law, TJ and Gladys Newman. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ruthann Ward; son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Miss Emilee Ward; daughter Jaclyn Welborne; grandson Klayton Welborne; brother Kenny (Karen) Ward; sisters Linda (Jerry) Humphrey, Glenda (Larry) Browning, Donna (Ronnie) Grace, and Lois (Wayne) Farris; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Services will be prepared by Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Visitation will be Monday, November 26, 2018, from 5-8PM with the funeral on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 11:00AM at the funeral home, with Bro. Curtis McGehee and Bro. Ron Noffsinger officiating.
