SACRAMENTO – Presley Ray “Buddy” Randolph, 80, of Sacramento, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 8:01AM at his home. Mr. Randolph was born January 15, 1937, in Muhlenberg County. He was a carpenter, a mechanic for John Deere, and worked at Sunny Acres. He was also a member of Brier Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends. In his younger years, he spent time fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. Grandchildren and working were a very important part of his life. He adored his wife of 60 years, and enjoyed spending time with his son in his transmission shop. He had special memories of all of his friends at Blue Jay’s Restaurant and was so proud of all of the staff that wore the aprons that Lee made. One of his most proud possessions was the “key” he received to Blue Jay’s Restaurant. He was preceded in death by great-grandchild Gabriel; parents Floyd and Ona Randolph; sisters Martha L. Easler, Gladys E. Hudson, and five baby sisters; and brother Gus Randolph. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalee “Lee” Mary Lazarz Randolph; son Preston (Andi) Randolph of Sacramento; daughter Rebecca “Becky” (Jon) Byrum of Crofton; grandchildren Jonthon (Brittni), Adam (Crystal), Aaron, Jessica, and Whitney (C.J.); great-grandchildren Audrey, Isabella, Dallas, McKenna, Keenan, and Daxton; and sisters Dorothy Newson and Lou Nettie Purtzer. Funeral services will be Friday, January 20, 2017, at 11:00AM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Bro. Marc Bell officiating. Burial in Brier Creek Cemetery.
