CENTRAL CITY – Nelda Rene Griffith Brown, 76, of Central City, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 1:45PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Brown was born May 8, 1939, in Livermore. She was over the wall paper department at Uncle Lee’s, and was a line inspector at Cowden’s. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and loved to worship. She loved photography, ice cream, yard work, sewing, and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Thelma Hatfield Greenwalt; first husband Wendell Griffith; and second husband Bobby Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Christy (Mike) Moore and Kimberly Thaxton, both of Central City; grandchildren Shawn, Shana, Nikki, Brandy, Jimmy, Amanda, and Mallory; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers J.R. Greenwalt and Rev. E.W. Greenwalt; and sisters Greta Yonts and Barbara Hatfield. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev.
