CENTRAL CITY – Myra Louise Bowen, 86, of Central City, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Bowen was born June 20, 1925 in Muhlenberg County. She worked at Brands Corner Drug for 20 years, and was a member of Nelson Creek Baptist Church for 56 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ray Bowen Sr., great-great-grandchildren Karstin and Abbigail Piper, parents Will and Lilly Singleton, and two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Hubert R. (Ann) Bowen Jr.; granddaughter Myra Bowen; grandson Michael (Jessica) Bowen; great-granddaughters Sarah (Jackie) Bowen, Toni (Skye) Morris, and Cortnie (Justin) Piper; great-great-grandchildren Bryceson and Jackson Bowen, Kylee Morris, and Kamdyn, Kaydymce, and Keelie Piper. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. I have missed seeing Louise. Haven't seen her for a few years . I first got to know Louise when we owned Barnes Mercantile and I would see her in the Drug Store. Louise was a good friend of Mayme Hoover who worked at Barnes and she was in and out of our store all of the time. She was always the same, very sweet and so kind. She will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers will be with all of her family! God Bless all of you! Just know that Louise will never be forgotten!
