Central City – Meredith Rhodes Jenkins, 49, of Central City, died Friday, September 5, 2025, at 3:25p.m. at her residence. Mrs. Jenkins was born September 17, 1975 in Owensboro. She was a florist and she was a member of the Dawson Baptist Church in Philpot. She loved UK basketball, was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, enjoyed traveling, especially to go to the beach, and being outdoors. She was fond of crafting, and especially loved flowers. When she was diagnosed with cancer, her words to live by and give her and her family strength in the days to come, was “God’s got this!”. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Emma Blair; her paternal grandparents, M.A. Rhodes Sr. and Elizabeth Rhodes Baker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Jenkins; her beloved children, Emma (Jeremy) Pride and Hunter Jenkins; her grandchildren, Sara Beth Pride, Remington Pride, and Colton Pride; her sisters, Melissa (David) Hopkins of Paris, TN, and Michele (Victor) Keel of Owensboro; her parents, Jerry and Helen Rhodes; her mother-in-law, Jeannette (Stan) Campbell; and her brother-in-law, Jack (Shelby) Campbell.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 12:00p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Craig Bratcher officiating. Burial in Cherry Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5p.m.-8p.m.and Tuesday starting at 8:00 am at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
