BREMEN – Mary Agnes Hobgood, 92, of Bremen, died Monday, December 23, 2013 at 7:15PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Ms. Hobgood was born December 20, 1921 in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith. She was a resident of Sparks Nursing Home. Survivors include her sister, Jean Zoellick of Bremen; brothers Frank (Gladys) Hobgood and Charles (Ruth) Hobgood, both of Bremen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 2:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Brier Creek Cemetery. CENTRAL CITY – Mary Madgline Hobgood, 89, of Central City, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 1:05PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Hobgood was born March 25, 1923 in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. Hobgood; sons William Boyd Hobgood and Arthur Malcom Hobgood; daughter Eva Mae McElvain; granddaughter Tammy Everly; grandsons Tony Franklin and Ryan Glenn; and great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Vanover. Survivors include her sons, Freddie Hobgood of Bremen and Eddie Hobgood of Central City; daughters Brenda Franklin of Central City, Irma Nelson of Central City, Yvonne Hobgood of Bremen, and Mary Glenn of Central City; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Archie Fugate officiating, assisted by Rev. T.H. Davis. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
