I know this note is a late posting, but I just came across Marguerite's obituary, and wanted to offer my condolences to the family. Marguerite meant a lot to my family for many years. My parents, Margaret and Paul Robertson, owned Robertson's Treasure House in Greenville for many years. She came to see us often to visit, buy supplies, take classes or teach classes. She was a joy to be around, and was very talented. Everyone that knew her loved her. I lost my husband, Barry, 5 years ago, and my parents in 2011. Three others that worked at the Treasure House have also passed away, my aunt, Joyce McPherson, Aileen Loney, and Blanche Bivins. Happy memories! God bless you all. Paulette Clardy

Marguerite always took care of Robin and Me as if we were her own sons. She and Orville were fantastic Aunt and Uncle. We miss them greatly. We loved to visit and spend time with them on their farm. Many adventures where shared between us and the Baker Girls. God Bless Marguerite we love you.

Even though she didn't know me personally through her art she reached out to me and left a profound positive thought. Through her hands I saw a light. For this gesture I am thankful.

My memories of Marguerite were when I was little. I always remembered her being such a sweet Aunt and SO artistically talented! In Hawaii, she'd send over some of her artwork all the time! For example, a painted gourd that looked like Santa (I loved it!) or a painting of a beautiful bird (my parents still have it up). She really had a beautiful heart and it showed in her creations. My Dad Keith really loved her and I know felt closer to his Mom, who passed away too early through Marguerite. She really was an A+ lady. I wish we lived closer so I could have known her better. Big hug, you guys! She was wonderful!

I did not know Marguerite, but I knew her daughter Susan. If I had known her I'm sure I would have liked her very much, and I would have wanted her to teach me how to paint! I would like to tell her that even though her daughter Susan and I were friends through my job, I knew she was raised by a loving mother, who taught her the real values to live by. Peace, kindness and love. I'm sure she will be smiling down on Susan and her family until they meet again.

I always looked forward to my visits to the farm. Even when I almost turned over Orvil's tractor trying to remove rocks from the field. I still have some of Marguerite's Mint Plant.
