Marcus was a neighbor and good friend. When he moved next door to us, we instantly hit it off sharing a love for sports and fishing. I have many great memories of Marcus. He and I went on a few fishing trips together. And Marcus took his fishing seriously. I'd walk out of my house with my Wal-Mart fishing rod. And he'd be waiting for me with his roll of 6 fancy fishing rods looking like a gatling gun. He had great stories of fishing in Kentucky with his dad (where they actually caught fish). I am sad we never could make it back there together to fish. He and Jessie and Jill (my wife) and I had a chance to go out on a couple trips together, which was not easy as Marcus was a workaholic. But somehow we got him out to Napa and into a hot air balloon. We ended up crashing and getting bruised up a bit. But we survived and is a great story and memory. We will miss Marcus. My heart and prayers go out to his parents and family. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

It has been a pleasure working by your side. I remember always feeling at ease when I knew I would be getting report from you or vice versa. Your were easy going, easy to talk to, and made work seem effortless. I was never afraid to ask you questions and you made me feel like if I didn't know something you would help me with it. I appreciate all the helpful tricks of the trade that were passed through each encounter with you at work. I am truly saddened to have heard of your quick departure. May your be at peace now and my condolences to your family. May god continue be with you all through this difficult time of need.

I was in disbelief of your passing. You were a coworker and someone I looked up to as a newer nurse. You were such a great, seasoned and very efficient nurse. I learned a lot from you. I sadden that you left this world so young and you had so much potential and so much to live for. We would talked about working hard now, about nursing, family, having kids and about buying land and investments, and retiring young and enjoyIng life. I will always remembered you and you will always be a Big part of The CPCU family. May your soul rest in peace and may your love ones find the strength through this difficult time. My condolences to your family. You healed and save many lives and and your contributions to the medical field is appreciated! Rest easy brother.

I was in disbelief when I heard about this unfortunate news. It was just a couple months ago when I worked with Marcus at Clovis Community. I'm saddened that you have left this world too soon. You'll be remembered as a great nurse that always worked so hard for his goal. I'll miss working with you. The times when you would always do your job without a question. When I needed help with a patient, you were there without a doubt. My condolences goes out to your family, Marcus. I hope you all stay strong and find peace during this hard time. Rest in Peace, Marcus. May you be in paradise with no more suffering.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Wow I am speechless. I feel like it was just yesterday Marcus and I sat together at the nurses station. We had a quiet night and so we shared a conversation about how to build wealth and retire early. Im so shocked and sadden by this. Weve lost a flexible and confident nurse who wouldnt mind floating to different units to help out. RIP my friend.

Mark, I can't think of anything worse for a parent. I coined a phrase yrs ago when working for hospice and I think it sums up how me and Patricia feel. "The death of a child is the curse of parenthood." God bless you and your family my old friend. If we can help in any way please let us know.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Marcus in Owensboro at the hospital. Marcus was a very good nurse, caring, polite, and friendly. He was a very good co-worker, and was missed when he made plans to become a traveling nurse. I hope it was everything he had hoped for. My prayers are with his family and pray that God will see you through the days ahead.
