I worked with Lucille. She was the first grade teacher of my middle son Corey. Lucille greatly influenced his life. Still at the age of 40 he tells things that happened with his neighbor, friend, and first grade teacher. He adds humor to his memories and I remind him, Son that makes for a good story. Tell those to the children in live theater and they'll learn to love Lucille as much as we do. She was an outstanding Christian, neighbor, friend, and teacher. Lucille Robinson was a dear friend and mentor to me when I began teaching first grade at Drakesboro Elementary. She was so calm and relaxed in her teaching and all of her students, as well as colleagues, loved her. I remember many conversations and sound advice, not only professionally but in my personal life, as well. She was a great listener and offered guidance in such an affirming, loving way. I have such a high respect for her. She has touched the lives of many people in a very positive way. Sending heartfelt sympathy to all of you!
