CENTRAL CITY – Leonard “Carl” Rhodes, 83, of Central City, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 1:18PM at his home. Mr. Rhodes was born August 27, 1935, in Muhlenberg County. He was a sawer at Geary Brothers Saw Mill, and was also a farmer. He loved spending time with his family and with his horse, Misty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bennie Rhodes; brother Buddy Rhodes; and sisters Allie Flener, Agnes Johnson, Alice Carter, Jay Johnson, Jean Crawford, and Inez Rickard. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rachel Bullock Rhodes; daughters Julie (Jerry) Daugherty of Moorman, Donna (Jerome) Harris of Beechmont, and Carol Lynn (Bobby) Askins of Moorman; grandchildren Jonathan (Erin) Daugherty of Wyoming, OH, Jared (Ashley) Daugherty of Lexington, Joey (Nikki) Douglas of Moorman, and Jacob Rickard of Owensboro; and great-grandchildren Theo Daugherty, Eve Daugherty, Oliver Daugherty, Cora Daugherty, and Liam Rickard. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery.
