Kenneth Emul Robison 12/16/2008 GREENVILLE — Kenneth Emul Robison, 84, of Greenville died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at his home. He was born Nov. 4, 1924, in Muhlenberg County. He was the retired owner of Sanitary Rental Service and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a life member of VFW and former post commander of VFW Post No. 5478. Kenneth was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and served as a flight engineer on a B-24 Liberator bomber. He was shot down behind enemy lines in Italy during the Ploesti oil field raids. He served as Democratic chairman for Muhlenberg County for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sue Malone Robison and Ruby Robison; five brothers, Garnett, Lester, Charles Kay, Floyd and Gilbert Robison; and a sister, Dorothy Robison Stanley. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Barzella Jackson Robison of Greenville; a son, Steve (Doris) Robison of Greenville; two daughters, Diana (Butch) Canty of Beaver Dam and Cindy (Ed) McCarraher of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Mike Robison, Michele (Kelly) Rose, Greg (Kristi) Canty, Mathew (Beth) Canty, Brian (Jackie) Canty, Lori (Jason) Brown, Emily (Jason) Carver, Stephanie (Chad) Manlosky and Kenny (Skylar) McCarraher; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd (Ethel) Robison of McDonough, Ga. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Ed McCarraher officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, with graveside military services.
