OWENSBORO – Kay “Karen” Loraine Burden, 78, of Owensboro, died on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 1:34AM at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owensboro. Ms. Burden was born on October 27, 1947 in Daviess County. She worked as a Warranty Administrator for George Moore in Jacksonville, FL and was also the Owner/Operator of The Greasy Spoon in Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Hunter Howard; brothers, Louis McCoy, Jr., Michael “Mike” McCoy, and William McCoy, Sr.; and sisters, Teresa Jeffers, Patricia “Patti” Case, Diane Redfern.

She is survived by her son, David (Kristen) Burden; daughters, Michelle Allshouse, and Tina (Donnie) Nixon; grandchildren, Noah Burden, Lorelie Bratcher, Annabelle Sandefur, Landon Howard, Bailey Level, Corbin Jones, Christian Coscia, Josiah Cortes, Faith Cortes, Madison Allshouse, Tori Longtin, Tommy Decker, Tarren Decker; brother, George McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 6PM at Bethel Outreach Ministries in Livermore. Burial will be private. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
