I will always remember our Broad Street Gang growing up. We had wonderful times on Broad Street and will always have the memories. Friends are someone you will always have in your heart and very thankful for that.
Joe Ben & Family were the greatest neighbors to my Grandmother, Margery Casebier, and to us when we lived there while Dad was overseas. He also took good care of her & us when she passed away while here in Georgia, moving her back to Central City/Greenville. We had the opportunity to stop by on one of our trips to CC, and were greeted as if no time had passed. Rest In Peace, Joe Ben. Our sympathies to the entire family for such a great loss.
Joe Ben and Carolyn Tucker and their sweet family have had such an impact on my life, and the lives of so so many. We will miss him so. I think of these words from Dan Fogleberg's Leader of the Band:
He earned his love
Through discipline
A thundering, velvet hand
His gentle means of sculpting souls
Took me years to understand.
Until we meet again, JB.❤
My deepest sympathy to all the Tucker Family. Joe Ben was a special friend during my years as Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Central City and continued to be so in the years following. He was most supportive of me as a pastor, as I'm sure he was of countless other pastors. His warm, friendly personality made him one I always enjoyed being around. He and Carolyn nurtured and nudged my courtship and marriage to Susan. We always appreciated their love and support. Pastors and Funeral Directors seem to have a special relationship, as we relate to families in difficult and tragic times of loss. Having Joe Ben as a partner in ministry was always most helpful to me.
God's Spirit will provide comfort and strength to all the family and friends in the days ahead. Central City, and all that area, will not be the same without Joe Ben around. However, we know his spirit will always hover nearby.
Love and Peace,
Tom Eblen
Sorry to hear of Joe Ben passing. He was a true gentleman. The stories that him and Harold Bandy could make up. Rest In Peace

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Joe Ben also know a Wormy in his younger days. Was good friend in school and as a neighbor. He was best man at my wedding in 1962. Will always have good thoughts of him as long as I live.
Joe Ben Tucker and his family have had such an enormous influence on so many people. About three times a year, Joe Ben and Harold Bandy (from Nortonville), would pull into our driveway in Beaver Dam to pick up my dad, on the way to Louisville for a Funeral Directors Association of KY meeting. It was at those meetings where legendary, wonderful stories and memories were made.
Joe Ben loved his profession, and his friends. He was cheerful in all circumstances, had an impeccable sense of humor, and never failed with an encouraging word. Rest in Peace my good friend, and I hope you, Bandy, and my Dad pick up where you left off. Its a glorious time in Heaven!
John 14:1-6
Joe Ben will be sorely missed. My Mom always thought highly of Joe Ben. She knew him from when he was a teen. He always brought a smile to my Mom's face. I can't say enough about this great man, I thought highly of him as well He and Tucker's have helped my family on many occasions when we suffered a loss. His shoes will be tough to fill. My condolences to the family.
I will always treasure the years I spent at Commonwealth Insurance and working directly with the KFDBA, Joe Ben, Milton Stoess, and John Kerr. Joe Ben was a class act, a perfect gentleman, and stellar businessman. I admired his business savvy and his care for his families and the many associations on which he served. I consider it a privilege to have known Joe Ben and I wish the family peace and good tidings. God's blessings on all of you.
Thoughts and Prayers towards you and your family. Love You Tim and Leigh.
Pat remembers playing football in a lot next to Joe Ben's house when he was young. We are very sorry. I am thinking of you also Tracy.
I often told Joe Ben that he was one of the finest that Central City, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, & the USA had to offer. Of course, being Joe Ben, he scoffed at this! But I meant it. He treated everyone as if they were important, because to him you were. I know that if we could all learn to treat people as well as Joe Ben did, that this country would be in a much better place.
I considered him to be a great friend and was so heart broken to hear of his passing. I know going forward is going to be difficult for his family & his staff at Tucker Funeral Home so know that you are all in my prayers.
Joe Ben, my dear friend, you will be greatly missed. Also know, that those Flener Twins will never forget you. You were ALWAYS a bright spot in our lives.
Tuckers
My condolences to all of you. My father thought the world of Joe Ben as did my mom. Prayers and thoughts with you.
Joe Ben was a true gentleman. It was my honor to know him and to serve our profession with him. I will never forget his kindness and wonderful sense of humor.
Joe Ben meant so much to so many. Sorry we can´t attend, but we will be thinking about you Wednesday.
Since I'm in the old category, it seems like when some people die, I'm SO glad I knew him/her! To clarify, Carolyn was in same graduating class. I remember when she told me she was not coming back to Western, she was marrying Joe Ben. I was drum major @ Muhlenberg Central when Joe Ben was @ Central City. & I remember when I realized We all must be old cause Joe Ben and Carolyn had a son with white hair. Kudos for the words in the obituary! Probably best words to leave are "I'm glad I knew him!"
We are so sorry for your loss. We think of you all often. Glad for the way you
helped our son when he was there. We pray that God will give you all peace
in time of grief. Sincerely, Paul and Bonnie Miller and family.
To The Family of Joe Ben, May God wrap His ever loving arms around each of you comfort and sustain all of your needs.

Muhlenberg county has lost one of its finest. My deepest condolences to the family. He will be missed.
He was such a great man, would help you anyway he could. As his whole family would. He will be so missed.
Joe Ben was a very classy and caring professional, who was kind to so many during their times of loss and grief. He will be remembered for his kindnesses. Rest in Peace.
So many times in our lives we have been struck by loss and every time Joe Ben and his work family have taken care of us. In the passing of our parents he held our hands and helped us with decisions that seemed overwhelming, gave us peace in knowing that our loved ones were cared for and honored. He will be missed.
Joe Ben was a very good friend of my family. When my son Anthony passed away on November 20th 2004. Joe Ben himself went to Louisville and brought him back to the funeral home. I pray for his family that they will have the comfort of knowing Joe Ben is with the Lord now and he will be for all eternity. There will be no more death for Joe Ben.
Condolences from a 1st grade Bud and life long friend. Wayne@ Sheila Crist
I was visibility shaken at the word of Joe Ben's death. Joe Ben was a friend and a very fine person. The funeral profession, not only in Kentucky, but throughout the United States has lost a true friend and an example of what funeral service was by his leadership and dedication was to our profession.
Joe Ben rest in peace.
Prayers for Family, Joe Ben will be missed by many.
Joe Ben has been a friend of our Dads, Herbert Johnson and for many years. After our mother passed away, Joe Ben ask Dad to come to work for him.
He loved our family through all the loss of our love ones. He was one of kind. We loved him.
Occasionally, as we maneuver the pathway of this life, we meet a handful of people that think of as legends. These are people that have given of themselves, back to their community, and do it, not for fame or glory, but because of their love of their fellow man. They don't spend a lot of time talking the talk, but rather walking the walk.
Joe Ben was one of those rare individuals, a leader in his Church, his Business and his beloved Community. I can think of no one in our community that will missed more.
To Carolyn and the family, we offer our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences and we promise you that his many friends will keep his legacy alive for a long, long time with our Joe Ben stories we have amassed over a lifetime. May God bless each and every one of you!
Joe Ben took care of the funerals for all of my family. We were always treated with the courtesy, kind words, and reverence. I am sorry for your loss. He will not be forgotten.
Prayers for all of you.
