Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Joanna was one of my daughter Laura Blair's favorite teachers. She had a habit of calling her students by their last names. More important was the way she inspired the young people, who all loved and respected her. She loved and respected them all, and there was no doubt that she enjoyed her job, but also loved her work. Well done, Joanna, and rest in peace.
"(͡๏̯͡๏)" Joanna, you were much too young to go so suddenly, I pray for your family you have left behind, they all have to travel that same road someday, each on their own...One day we will all be as you are now, until then we must trust in Jesus to carry us through. Sincerely, Joseph
There can never be another Joanna Fox. So many memories of having so much fun when she was around. There was never a dull moment. Always a big smile. All the cheerleaders at Greenville loved her and so did the ones at Drakesboro (class of 1968) too. Such a joy to have known her.
We will never forget the moment we got to meet the legendary teacher our Mom, Tammy Mayes Hall had told us so much about. She was Mom's favorite teacher. So, when we moved back here over 6 yrs ago, and our Mom got a job at job corp, that is when we were finally blessed to meet her, and blessed we were. We loved her coming to our house or us going to hers, we were also fortunate enough to help her move to her new home. That was a chore, but she always made things fun, joking, laughing. We especially enjoyed watching ball games with her. We will never forget when we asked her to be our Godmother. She smiled big and gladly said well of course. From that day forward and forever she will be our "Foxey Momma." We will miss you Foxey Momma. We love you. Heaven has gained an incredible awesome angel. Janice, you are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.
"Fox" was a great teacher in high school, then i got the pleasure of working with her at job corp. My boys and i enjoyed helping her move in her new home and watching games with her. We loved her and she will forever be missed. Janice, Karen our prayers are with you. I love you Fox, now, as in your life, you truly are an angel. Janice, if you still have my number, call when you can. So sorry i cant attend visitation and funeral, but i too am sick and am unable to attend. Please tell her thanks for everything and i love her. God bless you.
Janice,,Deepest Sympathy to you and yours. Enjoyed knowing Joanne during my children's school years..she was a special person and will be missed.. (I will forever be grateful to you and Karen for coming to my home the evening my mother died. I had so many deaths in a short time..and I am not sure if I will ever recover from the grief and pain.) I know your visit helped me and I am thankful for our friendship. Blessings in this sad time.. Just know I Care! Ann (Runyan) & Bill Harlan - Greenville
We loved visiting with Janice while we were at the South High basketball games.
Fox was one the most inspiring people in my life. What a blessing to have had her love and guidance not only through high school but beyond through the years. A light has gone out in the world.
Joanna was a family friend she will be missed Janice you are in our prayers Joanna was a good person and would help anyone she could God bless and comfort you.
Joanna Fox was a very special person. We'll miss her dearly and the Boggess Family Association would not exist had it not been for Joanna. Her efforts with association made so many people aware of their heritage and make new friends. We'll miss her enormously. John and Joanne Boggess
When I heard about Miss Fox passing it made my heart heavy because Miss Fox was one of my high school teachers that I will always remember with a smile on my face. She was actually one of the sponsors for my class at Greenville High School - Class of 1984. She tried to act like a hard a#@ but we all knew she loved us. She was definitely one of a kind and now Heaven has gained another angel. RIP Miss Fox and I'll see you on the other side. :)
Ms. Fox has touched many peoples lives. What I remember most about her is she was a kind person that would help anyone. She was one of a kind and she will be missed by many. Ken and Rebecca Howe
Janice: So sorry to read about Joanna's death!!! Thinking of you during these sad days ahead. Your STRONG Faith will carry you thru , I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around you, comfort you and give you strength during this sadness. I love you and Joanna both, you've been so kind to me over the years, always there when I needed you. You're a special person to me!!! Love Jake
May you continue to teach in the next one. Rest in peace
It is easy to remember the teachers who wanted to teach and make a difference in the lives of their students. It is easy to remember the teachers who seemed to only be killing time and waiting for another job to come along. "FOX" was one of those who loved teaching and was dedicated to her kids and I think everyone who ever had her for a teacher or class sponsor KNOWS that she cared about us. Debbie Hancock Reesman - GHS class of 1976

Joanna was the person that found my family and invited us to the Bogguess reunion. She was a great help in piecing together our ancestral line. I really valued her work and excitement about genealogy.
Will meet you on the Number ! . Ron Peyton Former golf coach OHS
I am so grateful that I was able to visit with Joanna in her home this summer on my way to Virginia to attend the Boggess Family Association Reunion. It was a delite to spend time with her and to see all her wonderful treasures she had from her Fox and Boggess ancesters. I will always remember Joanna and I thank her for dedicating her life to reserching and recording the first six generations of the Boggess family in these United States. I extend my sympathies to her sister Janice who was there for Joanna during her illness.
Janice, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. There was never enough time to spend with Joanna at the reunions and I will cherish the memories. Mike West
We met Joanna at our first Boggess Family Association Reunion when she hosted the event in Kentucky. Over the years we have been with her in all parts of our country as we met for our yearly gatherings. We all owe Joanna a large debt of gratitude for her diligence in compiling our family history for all of us to share. Joanna was one of a kind, so full of fun and so easy to be with at all times. She always had a twinkle in her eye and had a mischievous streak to boot. Our whole family loved her and looked forward to seeing her and being in her presence. James and I will miss those phone calls at all hours of the night which began, "Hey, I bet you don't know who this is." We always did and it didn't matter what time it was. She will deeply be missed by my family and the entire Boggess Family Association. Our sympathy to the family in the loss of a much loved family member. She will be in our hearts always, in a lot of ways she was "bigger than life." We are all better for knowing her and having her in our lives.
Thinking of you Janice and sending love prayers and friendship to you. I hope that you find comfort and peace in you many fond memories.
Janice, I am so sorry to hear about Joanna's passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
So sad to here of your lose. The County lost a very loving and caring person in JoAnna. She was so good with kids in coaching them and even helping them with their lives. She will be dearly missed. Know there are no words to take away tha grief or sorows, Just recall all of your fun and loving memories of JoAnna. God bless and be with all concerned. Will not be able make srvices but all will be in my heart and prayers. I grew up 3 houses from tha Fox's. Knew all them well. Were great neighbors! Then later life they moved into house acrooss from Fulchers store. Janice , God bless and be with you.
Ms. Fox truly was one of a kind and was a great teacher. One of the biggest things I remember about her was her desire to educate us. You can tell when someone genuine and everyone knew if nothing else that Ms. Fox was there to help because she cared. As a result I don't know of a single student who didn't love her in return. She will be missed not only by her family and former students but also to the community and county that she loved so dearly.
Good lady, great teacher, will be missed by many, may god be with u.
One of my favorite teachers from High School. A wonderful woman who really cared about her students. I will never forget her.
Coach Fox always had a way with coaching us. I was the youngest member of the Lady Blackhawks so I always felt out of place, and awkward. She made it a point to take the time and show me how to shoot better, guard better, she taught me I was able to fit in. I remember watching Hoosiers at her home and she cooked steaks for the whole team and it was great. Sometimes after games she would take myself and my brothers out to DQ so she could get ice cream for us and the dogs. Not a day goes by that I do not remember her and what she taught me. I share the stories with my children and also teach them some of what she and Coach Hancock taught me all those years ago at GHS.
Joanna, One of a kind!!!!Loved her, a great person. RIP my friend. Janice
What a great lady. I knew Fox (as we all called her) since I was small child and remember all the good times we shared throuthout my time in Greenville. She is one of those people and teachers I will never forget as she made a postivie impact on everyone she touched. She certainly made an impact on me. She will be missed.
What a neat lady. RIP Fox
After taking the position as Head Football Coach at Greenville High School, "Fox" was one of the first staff members that I met. I realized from the first meeting that the good Lord had broken the mold after he made her. Fox's unique personality and enthusiasm was something that both students and fellow faculty members were attracted to, and loved. I had the honor of working with her for 4 years at GHS, and learned early on how much she loved the school and the kids (who she lovingly called "yard apes" when she wanted to get their attention after that really loud whistle that she made!) Fox, you were "one of a kind!" Your caring attitude for the kids of GHS is reflected in all of the special memories and comments that they have made about you on FB! Rest in peace my friend!
I remember Ms Fox from high school. She always has a smile on her face. I can hear her whistle til this day.. She will be greatly missed..
Heaven has received another Angel. RIP Ms. Fox you will be greatly missed. Thanks for touching so many lives and making a positive impact. It was great seeing you at our 25th school reunion. I am sure your smile and infectious personality is glowing in heaven. GHS Class of 1987
Thank you, Miss Fox. You were always kind and had a smile for everyone.
Mrs. Fox will be sorely missed. We all enjoyed her visits to the office. She always had to tell a story of two while she was in and we always were learning from them. Loved her spunkiness and what a character. We will truly miss her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
I have very fond memories of Coach Fox and the trips we took to the Ky girls tournament and other games. I respected and looked up to Coach Fox when I played for Central City. She was a great teacher and role model especially for girls under Title Nine who wanted to play sports equally. I remember going to my parents wanting to change to Greenviile High School so I could learn under Coach Fox because Central City was slow to take girls basketball seriously. I thank her for her guidance and wish her peace.
Wil and I will always remember Joanna's warm acceptance and kindness at the Boggess Family reunions. May she have everlasting peace. Fondly, Carol and Wil

Joanna will be really missed by everyone that knew her. I know I will miss the times at family reunions when she and myself got up early and went to breakfast..no one else was up in the Lobby. I always learned something new. How I will miss this great lady.
Cheri, May your memories of Joanna sustain you in your loss of her company.
I have thought of you often Miss Fox. How you helped me through troubled times! I will miss you Joanna!
She was a great lady and always kind to everyone. My deepest sympathy to her family.
Joanna Fox was one of a kind. She was such a great person. She was a teacher to both me, my husband and both of our sons. We all loved her. She did teach driver's ed at job corps, but it was Muhlenberg Job Corps Center instead of Earle C. Clements. She has touched so many lives it would be hard to even estimate how many. All of her students loved her. In addition to being one of her students I worked with her at Job Corps and I know first hand how much the staff and students loved her there too. We are so thankful that we got a chance to know her and that we have such good memories of her. Rest In Peace Ms. Fox. You will be missed by all of us!
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
