CENTRAL CITY – Jo Anne Moore, 83, of Central City, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10:28PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Moore was born May 26, 1929 in Webster County. She was a retired school teacher and librarian with Muhlenberg County School System. She was a member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. She was also a long time Sunday School teacher and choir director. She was a member of B&PW, and she volunteered for the Red Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vera Potts; and son, Jerrold Moore. Survivors include her husband, John Thomas Moore; son James (Trudy) Moore of Central City; extended son and daughter, Ryan and Karen Bingham of Central City; grandchildren James (Emily) Moore of Central City, Jerrold (Bethany) Moore of Central City, Joshua Turner Moore, of Central City, Jonathan David Moore of Central City, Jordon DeeAnne Moore of Central City, Kenny McBride of South Carolina, Katelyn Bingham of Central City, and Jacob Bingham of Central City; nine great-grandchildren; sister Mary (Bill) Groves of Plano, KY; and nephews Phillip and Keith Groves. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Jewel Martin officiating, assisted by Rev. Roger Banks and Rev. Brian McElwain.
