So sorry to hear of Jerry's death. I met Jerry through the schools where he taught, coached, and was principal. And of course, the shipping business when I had to send the water samples off to the lab. I will be thinking of you today. Mark Wilkerson
Larry Farmer left a message on February 16, 2022:
I first met Jerry in college. I had lots of positive experiences with Jerry and others from Muhlenberg County (Chuck Gary, Denny Slinker, and Bill Knight). Jerry and I both loved sports, especially basketball; but we were also able to converse on a wide range of topics. He was one of the more likeable persons I have ever met. After college I did not have much contact with Jerry, but we did see each other occasionally. Even though our interaction was limited after college, I still consider him one of my better friends. He was just that kind of person.

Mary and family, I was so very sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. We are never ready to lose our loved ones. I wish he could have had more years to enjoy watching those grandchildren grow up. It sounds like they will have lots of memories of their time with their Grandfather. Mary, I know it will be so hard to adjust to being without Jerry, but I’m thankful you had l long and happy marriage together. I’ll be thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort for each of you.
Stan Markham left a message on February 15, 2022:
Jerry was a dear friend of mine from school days and as a WKU fan. His son and my son became friends through sports and sports camps. Jerry was always a man of highest integrity and I always enjoyed seeing him. I'm glad to see he was a Christian but I already knew that by the way he was when with me and others and the way he talked about how much he loved his wife and family. God just welcomed another good one for eternal rest.

I don’t know what to say other than my heart hurts so much for all of you. Jerry was a great principal and boss to me; later a special friend thru Kelly. He treated Melody and us with love and respect. To Mary, Kelly, Jenny, And to Jack and Jill I send a big hug, with a tear. Prayers for the weeks and months ahead. Love you all, Connie
