GREENVILLE – Jeffery Lee Wilkins, 67, of Greenville, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:15AM at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Wilkins was born November 9, 1955, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner, and a member of Carter Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Wilkins was an outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, going to the lake, and camping. He loved watching sports, farming, and his cows. His passion was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Arch Wilkins; step-father, Sharon Edwards; step-mother, Dana Wilkins; and step-brother, B.J. Westfall.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debbie Oates Wilkins; children, Amy (Chris) Carver, Justin (Brittany) Wilkins, and Adam Wilkins; grandchildren, Jaylee Wilkins, Cody Carver, Allie Carver, and Taylor Wilkins; mother, Wanda Edwards; sisters, Teresa Puryear, Tracey Kulijof, and Valerie Morris; and brothers, David Wilkins, Doug Edwards, and David Edwards.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00AM at Carter Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, with Bro. John Day II officiating. Burial in Carter Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday after 5:00PM at Carter Creek Baptist Church and Monday after 8:00AM at Carter Creek Baptist Church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rest In Peace Uncle Jeff

To the family and loved ones What a wonderful person Larry was. When dad Collas and Barbara was at Bethlehem they were one of their closest friends. They often talk how good and faithful christian Linda and Larry was. Larry always smiled and was full of Mischief aggravating me to know end. Something I believe as he pulled my leg. And I didn’t ever know if he was serious or kidding. He always was friendly and smiling and could see the joy in his face with his family. We all had good memories and our family thought a lot of him and I know he will be missed. I am sure he is talking to mom and dad about how wonderful and beautiful it is up there. Jeff was a good man and friend to Me and Jay. Always asking about Jay cause he knew Jay Had health problem. The best thing to know Jeff is no longer in pain.Family will miss him but he wants you to go on with your life.because he is with Jesus and happy.
