Sacramento – James Gray Sr., 79, of Sacramento, died Saturday. October 4, 2025, at 6:16a.m. at Riverside Nursing and Rehab in Calhoun. Mr. Gray was born August 12, 1946, in Central City. He was a boiler maker for TVA and he was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his garage and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Opal Gray; and siblings, Harold Edward Gray, George Gray, and Shirley Frizzell.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Gray; his siblings, Clatie Bean, and Kenneth Gray; his four children; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11a.m. at Shavers Cemetery in Sacramento, with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
