CENTRAL CITY – James Harold “Juice” Smith, 78, of Central City, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 2:03AM at Heartford House. Mr. Smith was born July 2, 1936, in Greenville. He was a coal miner with Peabody Coal Co., and a member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church. His favorite past time was watching western shows, Billy Graham, and Kentucky Wildcat games. He enjoyed working with wood and building things. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilda Lena and Albert Smith; sisters Vonell Browning and Lorane Bethel; and brothers Jewell Smith and Ray Maxie Smith. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Sue Doss Smith; children Debbie (Richard ) Gregory of Bremen, Billy (Kathy) McDonald of Weir, Cindy (Kenny) Randall of Central City, Timothy McDonald of Louisville, and Randy (Brenda) McDonald of Dazell, SC; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers Robbie Smith of Johnson City, TN and David Smith of Nebo; and sister Linda (James) Embry of Nebo. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 3:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Jewel Martin officiating. Burial in Bluff Cemetery in Central City.
