GREENVILLE- James Steven McIntosh went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2017 at 2:30 AM at his home surrounded by his family. Born March 25, 1958 in Muhlenberg County. He was the eldest son of James and Helen McIntosh of Greenville. He was a lifelong member of Roland Memorial Missionary Baptist Church where he proudly served as a Deacon for the past 40 years and Sunday School Director for the past 25 years. He was involed with various church activities throughout the years and loved his church family very much. He was always laughing and joking with people to put a smile on someone’s face. Steve was in the construction busines and then a realtor for Lynelle Eaves Inc., and lastly a loan officer at First Kentucky Bank, before becoming disabled in 1993. Steve loved spending time with his family being outdoors, fishing, and watching TV, especially old western movies, cooking shows, and UK Basketball. Steve is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce; parents, James and Helen McIntosh, and mother-in-law June DeArmond,all of Greenville; sons, Nickolas McIntosh of Louisville, Jonathan (Karen) McIntosh of Owensboro, and Matthew McIntosh of Central City and two precious granddaughters, Hadley and Alivia; brothers, Mark (Beth) McIntosh, Barry McIntosh; sister, Cheryl (Stevie) Brothers. He is also survived by 4 nephews, 2 nieces, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be missed by all who loved him. Steve will also be greatly missed by his little buddies, Mickey and Stormie, his dogs, and Frames, his cat. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles H. Dearmond. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5th, at 2:00 PM at Roland Memorial Church with Bro. Matthew McIntosh officiating and Bro. Danny Mooneyhan assisting. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 4th, from 5PM to 8PM at Roland Memorial Church in Greenville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made ato the American Cancer Society, Gideons International, or to the Roland Memorial Building Fund.
