I taught with Jim at West Broadway Elementary School. I haven't seen Jim for many years because we moved away from Western Kentucky, but I clearly remember how Jim made everyone he came in contact with feel important. He was alway good for a laugh, and he had a heart of gold. He touched many lives. May your feel God's presence during these difficult days.

Mr. Harris was my 5th grade teacher at West Broadway many years ago & that was also when I met the little boy who would later become my husband. I have many fond memories of that school year. My husband & I were excited to run into Mr. Harris a few years ago at Ferrell's. It had been many years since either of us had seen him, but he still looked the same & remembered both of us! We talked & took a trip down memory lane together over a cheeseburger. We saw him there again a few times after that & always enjoyed running into him. I'm saddened to hear of his passing & regret I didn't know until after the services. My condolences to Mr. Harris' family & friends.

He was my fifth grade teacher at Bremen. The first man teacher I had. I really liked him and had a great year with him as my teacher. So sorry to hear to his passing.

I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Harris' passing. He was one of my favorite teachers from Bremen and I learned a lot in his class. I remember him most because every morning we had a scripture from our New Testaments that the Gideons brought in for us and then we had a moment of prayer. That spoke a lot about his faith in God and his determination that the Word be heard. Prayers and sympathy are extended to the family and friends who I am sure will miss him greatly. May you find comfort in your memories of his life now and in the days ahead.

He was warm, nice and funny man. I enjoyed his friendship. He was also an entainer. At a Christmas party at my house, Jim came. He and several ladies were at the kitchen table laughing and telling all types of funny stories about their teaching years. I will always remember Jim with the fondest of memories. I will miss him. My husband also retired ate breakfast with Jim on Fridays at Ferrells' Snappy Service in Madisonville. Same as ever, laughing and talking, enjoying life. Sincerely, Jim and Parma Allen.
