Martha Thomasson left a message on May 25, 2016:
A couple of years ago, I met a friend I didn't even know I had, and a few days ago, I was saddened to learn that he had passed away. This gentleman remembered me from my childhood and had always wondered if I had had a good life--a question that he asked both me and my husband three times during our visit. As it happens, while on his way to work in 1954, he came across a terrible accident at Buck Creek. So many people were involved that there was a shortage of ambulances and personnel to aid the victims. He did what he could to help, but it was too late for some, including my father. Never having completely rid himself of the traumatizing memories of that day, almost sixty years later he still wondered about the little girl also involved in that accident and asked his sister if she knew what had happened to her--to me. Not too long after that, I was granted the privilege of meeting him. We had a very heartwarming talk about the events of that day, and I assured him repeatedly that my life had indeed been good. Although this was the only time we ever spoke, his words touched me deeply, and I will never forget him. Thank you for your kindness Mr. James Clayton Hamilton.

During times such as these, it is important to remember that you have many friends and non-traditional family members that care for you. I pray you find comfort in your memories and strength in your faith.
