March 2, 1931 - September 6, 2012

DRAKESBORO – I Lorine “Petie” Groves, 81, of Drakesboro, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Groves was born March 2, 1931 in West Virginia and of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Groves was preceded in death by her husband, William Joe Groves; daughter, Verda Corine Vincent and great grandson, Keegan Layne Gregory. Survivors include two sons, Freeman Delbert Vincent of Drakesboro and Joseph Don Groves of Central City; two daughters, Patricia Ann McPherson of Central City and Debra Chyrel (Tommy) Bratcher of Drakesboro; three sisters, Elizabeth (Ed) Cowart of Washington State, Marcella Fax (Dana) Carter of Sycamore, IL and Lottie Dimple (Bo) Claxton of Chatsworts, Georgia; eight grandchildren, nine Great-Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Floyd Steele officiating. Burial in Graham Hill Cemetery. She was my half brother true aunt on his mother side ,but she would treat us 9 other kids the same.I will miss her so much.. know matter where she seen me she would come up befind me sometime sracy me just to give me a hug and kiss. i know this is so very late // but our prayers have been with the family over the loss os sis lorine // she was a blessing to the church - her and joe both // they have been surely missed around here //heaven is a lot more fuller and we are a lot more emptier now.
