GREENVILLE – Henry Ray Dockery, 88, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 3:10AM at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.  Mr. Dockery was born June 1, 1933, in Ohio County.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, was a Golden Glove in boxing, and worked for Crescent Mine Island Creek Coal Co. in Bremen for 32 years.

Henry loved playing his guitar and going to Channel 13 TV station in Bowling Green with his band, Henry and The Six Footers.  He loved singing karaoke with his friends, he loved you all.  He loved going dancing with his wife, Bonnie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlan and Mable Bishop Dockery; his sister, Jewel Dockery Phillips; and brothers, Owen Neal Dockery and Cadar Dockery.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie Harper Dockery; children, Rondal (Janice) Dockery, Shelia Kaye Dockery (Terry) Lee, and Carolyn (Gerald) Bunch; grandchildren, Bobby (Shawnda Plummer) Lee, Jessica Dockery (Martin) Bruggemann, Eric (Brittany) Dockery, Eva Lauren (Ethan) Morris, Emily Perkins, and Nicholas Bunch; great-grandchildren, Jessie Arnold, Brayden Lee, Carson Lee, Lawson Lee, Amelia Bruggemann, Captain Dockery, Izaak Morris, and Elijah Morris; brother, Donald (Martha Ann McIntosh) Dockery; several nieces and nephews; and wonderful neighbors who were like family, Jeff and Kimberly Edmonds Vincent, Scottie and Mary Lovell, and Kenneth Knight.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Mark Tackett, Muhlenberg County Ambulance Service, Greenville Fire Department, Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital, and Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Steve McElvain officiating.  Burial in Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday after 11:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
