Harlan Thaxton

SACRAMENTO – Harlan Thaxton, age 87 of Sacramento died Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Mr. Thaxton was born March 20, 1930 in McLean County. Harlan was a retired Whirlpool Assembly Worker and member of the Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbytarian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Thaxton; son Donnie Thaxton; brother Tommy Thaxton, sister Mary Gish and parents Fred and Altie Thaxton. Mr. Thaxton is survived by his sons Mike Thaxton of Sacramento and Mark Thaxton of Bremen; daughters Debbie Hobgood Sacramento, Cherie Reeves of Bremen; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Al Johnson. Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2018 after 5 PM at the Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
