CENTRAL CITY – Glenn Hill Pannell, 90, of Central City, died Monday, August 25, 2025 at 1:24PM at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville. Mr. Pannell was born May 20, 1935 in Greenville. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, worked as a Truck Driver for Roadway, and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed trains, fishing, and traveling – he drove to Alaska twice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson and Carrie Pannell; brothers, Jack Pannell, Jr., George Pannell, Lester Pannell, Russell Pannell, and Wayne Pannell; and sisters, Mabrea Bennett, Joyce Clark, and Lois Pannell; and sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Vincent.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Vincent Pannell; children, Glenna (Gary) Brown, and Michael (Julie) Pannell; grandchildren, Michael Brown, Rebecca (Derek) Dukes, Bethany (Ross) Glazer, Ben Brown, and Matthew Pannell; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Pannell; and brother-in-law, Bedford Vincent.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Adam Brown officiating. Burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
