Central City – Frankie James Reed, age 40 of Central City died March 12, 2021 at 8:57PM at his residence. He was born on January 17, 1981 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Cleaton Baptist Church, and a Machine Operator for the Plastic Factory in Greenville. He is preceded in death by his father Gary Griffin, mother Judy Smith, sister Brenda Reed, and brother Jerry Reed.
He is survived by his wife Tracy Roberts, son Kage Reed, daughter Hailey Reed, sisters Kathy (David) Rainwaters, Sandra (Kevin) Willoughby, Sharon Tinkle, Melissa (David) Roberts, and Lisa Pride. Brothers Jason (Pam) Griffin, Mike Griffin, Billy (Beth) Griffin, and Timmy (Jessica) Griffin. Step-children Chelsea Simpson, and Maverick Simpson, five grandchildren, and aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Todd Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday March 15, 2021 at 5:00PM at the funeral home. Family and Friends who are attending the visitation or funeral service are asked to wear a face mask for the safety of all those in attendance, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
