CENTRAL CITY – Ezra Lee Everett, 77, of Central City, died Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 2:03PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Everett was born December 20, 1943, in Muhlenberg County. He was a boilermaker and welder for Babcock and Wilcox, and of the Christian faith. He was an avid Kentucky basketball fan, and stayed on top of local news. He had a hard time being quiet. His biggest passion was the love and affection he had for his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Everett; mother Wanda Everett; and brother James Everett.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Avery Everett; daughter Lisa (Clint) Kirkman of Elkton; son Will (Kathryn) Everett of Central City; grandchildren Jasmine (Trace) Yates, Walton Kirkman, Kate (Josh) Payton, and Jody Vincent; great-grandchildren Everett Yates, Royce Beasley, and Holden Payton; sister Janiffer (Ronnie) Metheny; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 12:00 noon at Nelson Creek Cemetery, with Bro. Ron Metheny officiating. Burial to follow. Visitation will be Saturday after 9:30AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
