EVANSVILLE, IN – Dolores K. Burden, 74, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Signature Nursing Home in Evansville. Dolores was born February 10, 1941, to the late Elmo and Madie Buchanan of Drakesboro, Kentucky. Dolores graduated in 1958 from Drakesboro Consolidated School, was Salutatorian of her class, and Muhlenberg County Spelling Bee champion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Rives of Louisville; and two brothers, Ronnie and E.J. Buchanan of Drakesboro. Dolores married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, George Burden, in 1958. They were blessed with three loving, devoted sons, Jeff Burden and Troy (Heather) Burden of Evansville, Indiana and Todd (Lisa) Burden of Troutman, North Carolina; five grandsons; five granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. She is also survived by her brother, Darrel (Eurbie) Buchanan of Camden, Tennessee; and sisters Maryann (Kenneth) McDonald of Greenville, Kentucky and Faye (Weldon) Price of Auburn, Kentucky. Dolores’ children and family were always her greatest joys and blessings. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 12:00PM with visitation from 11:00AM – 12:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, Kentucky, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
