I remember the time I came to see you at Fort Gordon, Ga. I didn't let you know that I was coming, I just showed up there one day in the spring of 1961. After getting directions to your barracks, I stepped up, opened the door and there you were on your hands and knees scrubbing the floor. Your sargent tried to stop me, but I just pushed past him and proudly said to him that I was here to see my brother. I was told to wait outside and in a few minutes you came out and gave me a quick lesson in military decorum. Your sargent must have been a good man, he let me stay on post for a while and you showed me around a bit. Toward evening he gave you an overnight pass. We went to Augusta, got some food, got a room and spent the night there. You slept very well. I got the feeling that you liked anything not army.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Nancy and girls, I know today is going to be hard. Wish I were there to hug all of you! Continuing in prayer!

I remember the time we went black berry picking and you fell face first into the black berry briars. They were all over you, even your face. You were in considerable pain and you screamed for me to help you. All I could do was pull on the briars, and that caused more pain and more screaming. Somehow we got you untangled but black berries were left there, at least for a while.
I'm so blessed to have been in church with such loving and caring people..Influenced my life in many ways..Carol you know how much you have meant to me and Nancy, you and Dewey will always be in my heart as great christian people...my love and prayers always.
I worked with Dewey at the Green River plant. He always had a smile and friendly greetings for everyone. He will be sadly missed.
Nancy, Sharon & Natalie So sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Henry as always a loving husband & father. Thoughts and prayers Lou Anne
